Wayfarer’s Chapel-A Photographers Dreams

Sitting above the beautiful coastal cliffs of Rancho Palos Verdes,

Wayfarer’s Chapel has proven itself time and again as a smaller chapel with big aspirations. From the moment you turn off of PCH to drive up the grounds, you get a sensation of being transported to a wooded paradise. Nestled at the center of it all is this absolutely stunning glass chapel. The light shines through the trees illuminating them as it passes through to hit the towering glass walls of the structure itself.

The trees alone are an inviting enough backdrop that would leave any couple and their guests in awe. They act as a wall that tunes out the rest of the world and forces you to focus on the moment. When you look up it feels vast and never ending in the most comforting way. The small breaks between them gives view to a perfect ocean sunset.

The chapel itself is a design of dreams. It’s small but carries itself with a cathedral like manner. You can see and feel the detail that went into every square inch of the walls. High glass walls lined with wooden accents that seamlessly blend into the trees behind them. During golden hour the rays of sun disperse as they hit the glass and create this golden glow like haze that fills the chapel. It truly is a sight one has to see to believe. Connected to the side of the chapel is a small arched walkway that has a great view of some of the sea cliffs Rancho Palos Verdes is known for. There is no shortage of photogenic areas throughout the entire premises. Wayfarer’s is as inviting as the surrounding landscape that embraces it.
